Been playing around with the colour curve tool here, loved the green but original sky was bleached out so made it a bit gray, not bad for a first very tentative image enhancement..please feel free to comment!
A ginnel round here is a narrow usually walled and paved path, and a snicket is usually similar but not walled in or paved, at least that's way I interprete them.
This looks good to me, and I'm not sure what you've done with the sky (not a layer mask though I guess). I'd have taken this for an HDR going by the thumbnail. The perspective is good, not that you had much choice, but maybe a lower viewpoint would have emphasised the slope. Good work :-)
