Dear me I find a gap in my week, so this old photo has come in useful. This is the roof of the flats opposite, my Dad was caretaker of our block of flats in the 1960s and took me up to the roof, now that wouldn't pass health and safety today, and then there were no guards either, I didn't need telling to stand back from the edge! These are the lift shafts, and I suspect there's a water tank or two up there as well, but I don't really remember much except the lift winding gears, no idea what the funnel things are, I expect the airials are just what they seem, with possibly a lightning conductor in there too.
