#302 Cotttingley fairy she couldn't fool anyone....
...looking like an art Nouveau fashion icon, very trendy girl this one. Had a lovely six mile walk today which was not very spooky but lots of fun and the weather was lovely. Two young women on the walk were great grandchildren of one of the girls who perpetrated this hoax.
Perhaps even fairies follow fashion! I've always wondered how Conan Doyle, who wrote those (to me) excessively dry and rational Sherlock Holmes mysteries, could allow himself to be fooled by those very obvious fakes (at least obvious to us now).
