King Edward VII hospital Windsor

Today I had an appointmen, at the hospital, just a routine eye check. It's rather a magnificent one, opened in 1909 by King Edward and I'm not sure of the symbolism of this statue as he didn't live to see the first world war, research on Google me thinks. Sadly, this statue is now in a car park, so had to crop it quite severely to rid the photo of numerous cars. Interior posts to follow.
Holy Cow! Makes quite an impression for a hospital.

@mcsiegle lovely interior too. Will post a photo later, on way to Cornwall now to visit my daughter and family. 😃

Very impressive statue. I wonder if he'd have liked presiding over all those cars ...
