Yesterday we said our goodbyes to Nicky...our loving companion for 15 years. May you rest in peace girl. We know you have a smile on your face with your curled tail held high. We love you and miss you.
Here is a poem dedicated to Nicky.
I know that you must miss me,
By the tears rolling down your face.
But believe me when I tell you that,
I'm in a very good place.
There are meadows here to run in,
And plenty of rabbits to chase.
There are other dogs to play with,
To frolick with and race.
So please don't worry about me,
My spirit feels light as can be.
There's no more pain to plague me,
I'm young again and free.
And I'll be watching over you still,
of that you can be sure.
I'm your canine guardian angel,
And my love for you remains pure.
Sorry good-byes are necessary. You will be glad you have this wonderful portrait of him. It will be hard to break the habits of caring for him but the memories will help you adjust.
So sorry for your loss Denise but what a wonderful poem, I do hope my beautiful Blott is chasing around the same meadow with Nicky. I know just how you feel but Nicky will always be with you.,
Although I'm no longer posting, I still come to enjoy people's photos. So sorry for the loss of your beloved dog. She is quite beautiful. Such a hard time when one losses a canine friend. I still think of mine many years on and I'm with @judithdeacon in the hope they are all running and enjoying a new place somewhere.
My heart goes out to you Denise! I started crying when I read this. I have a German Shepherd and 3 cats and they are my kids so I understand what you must be feeling. I will say a prayer of peace for you and your family. I know Nicky is in a better place :) Great shot and tribute to your furry friend.
@cscecil@dawnirwin@dmortega@kbalychev Thank you all for your kind thoughts on the loss of my dog Nicky. We are still grieving her loss. So many things are different now and it's so quiet. Nobody to greet me at the door or to peer out the front window at me when I come home. :+(
Nicky is so very beautiful. I love her fluffy ears. It is so hard to lose a faithful companion. I wish that they could live longer. Their unconditional love is something you can't find in humans. I hope that you have found some healing.
ohhh Denise.. I couldn't avoid crying when I read and saw this. What a beautiful animal... I can imagine how painful it must have been to say goodbye to her. When I think of all the times Luna came and just sat by my side, like she knew I was feeling sad. They come to our lives and we feel so blessed to have them around. Thank you so much for your kind words, my dear. Every one who came to my day photo and left a message made me cry, coz I feel like I know all of you and I have very good friends in this project.
