Attempt To Enjoy Each Day For What It Is
Good Or Bad, At The End Of The Day, Give Thanks
For Every Moment In Life Is But A Gift
(Rick Schies 2011)
On my way home from work this evening, the sun was falling beneath the clouds, and the lighting was pretty awesome. The field of snow looked like a frozen body of water. It looked so calming, and I must say, it was a nice way to end the day. For some reason, the cold winter months bring about some of the most beautiful sunsets, and sunrises. I love the open countryside. I guess you could say it's one of my passions. Hope you enjoy.
Rick, you do get the most awesome sunsets and sunrises in the open country. So, being in the city myself, I appreciate them more! Your words are beautifu :-) I thought it was water as well! Until I read the caption....great photo!
Wow- I thought it was a lake too until I read the caption. My first thought was "This reminds me of the sunsets on the Sea of Galilee". A beautiful sunset like this is a tribute to its Maker- I'm glad you preserved it for us to see.
I thought it was a lake. Absolutely beautiful. I can understand how you would be passionate about this. BTW, thank you for your thoughtful comments about my sister in law's condition. It is not a pleasant future but better to be prepared.
Gorgeous! I only hope I can take pictures that good one day :) I use 365 to play more than be serious, but I do have a "real" camera and have been slowly learning! Yours are always excellent!
You do seem to capture some stunning sunsets! I wish we had a better view of ours, we have so many trees, it's hard to see. Wonderful words as well, Mr. Talented
It's a stunner Rick....beautifully captured and framed. It definitely gives a sense of peacefulness and calm. I did think it was a frozen lake when I first glanced at it.
Gorgeous photo!
