I want to express a sincere appreciaton to all you dear friends who have offered your thoughts, support and prayers for myself, and my family this past week following the loss of our Father. Words cannot express what it has all meant to us. Because of the overwhelming support everyone has shared, I thought it was only fitting to share a photo of my Sibblings so you can see who you have been supporting in your thoughts and prayers. We have always been close, but this week has strengthened that bond even more. Thank you again for all your precious words of support, and encouragement. In the front is myself, next to me is my sister Donna, then in the yellow shirt, Craig (and for those who remember the passing of our little angel Alyssa, that is Little Alyssa's Grandpa) Then behind him is Gary, next to him is Randy, and then finally Terry. So on behalf of our entire family, Thank You!
Wow, this is such a wonderful photo, Rick! Thank you so much for sharing your family with us. It's actually helpful to see the faces of those you hold in your prayers, which will continue...
Oh, Rick, what a nice idea to show us you with your siblings. It is always so nice to put names and faces together. How wonderful that you are all so close. Do most of you live in the same area also?
It's so nice to see you altogether and my what a great looking family! You will all continue to be in my prayers in the days ahead, and it's especially comforting to know they've helped already. God be with you all!
Will be thinking of you all at 9am tomorrow. and I know your dads service will be wonderful... sounds like you all had an amazing experience tonight at your dads viewing...
Peace to you all..
Again so sorry for your loss. I noticed the roses some of you were holdling. We each got one from my dads funeral and later got more of them and sealed them in a jar and it is in my hutch for a nice rememberance.
I have tears in my eyes when I see all of you knowing you just lost your Dad. A wonderful picture of your siblings..I think you all take strenght from each other. thank you so much for sharing. now we know the family we were praying for.
Thank you Rick for sharing this sad day with all of us.
The old adage is true - there is strength in numbers. You will be there to support each other in the days ahead.
Wonderful family photo.
Hugs to you all.
If anything good comes of a parent's death, it is the coming together of siblings, at least for those of us who are lucky enough to have a good relationship in the first place. I am sure your father would be happy to see you all together supporting one another.
What a sweet photo - I guess it is always bitter sweet that something like this brings everyone together. You are lucky to have so many siblings - what fun you must have had growing up. Sending you all a big Colorado Hug... and you know they're the best.
Rick, I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. You may remember that I lost my father last fall. I'm glad that your father's passing has strengthened the bonds with your siblings. That would make your father happy. Big hug.
My deepest sympathy to you Rick: I have not been on 365p much the past week, so I missed that sad news. My prayers to you and your family--it is so difficult to get used to the thought of a parent being away from us in daily contact--so many memories and joys gone far away for the time being. Prayers and blessings Rick.
@ZG Yes Denise, I do remember that. Dad's passing has left a big hole in our lives however, we all know that he had a wonderful 12 yers since Mom had passed. He had his independence, his health, and we enjoyed his company. He had the opportunity to see the birth of several new Great Grandchildren, so he was surrounded by life, and a life he enjoyed up until the end.
Beautiful looking group and thank you sincerely for sharing this with all of us on 365. Continuing Prayers and wishes for you all, and the younger members who must be feeling it terribly he sounds like a giant of a man. Are they all deep believers like you Rick? what a legacy your parents have left.
@glenys Glenys, thank you for your kind words. Most of the sibblings have expressed their faith to some degree, though my Sister and I are the most active and expressive when it comes to our spirutality. Most of the others are not as mindful of the importance of faith in life, though the impact of Dad's passing and all the events during the past week have proven to be an effective reminder to them.
I know that life can be about anything and everything depending on your point of view, background, education and your natural instinct. I do believe that we have to do our best to make people feel better around us. It is going to be times when I'm going to fail for any reason to do that, but the human being is going to be truly happy when he desires happiness to his brother and sister.
We are very lucky to have this community here, thank you for all your support when people need, you never fail to go every day to people's photo and say something nice.
So I hope you and your family are going to be well soon!
The picture is wwonderful. At this most difficult time it is so great that you have each other. Having this picture will be appreciated more and more as time goes by.
