We were glad to get back home, but I think the puppies were especially happy. Today our neighbor wanted to come over to see the boys. She has grown very attached to them, and she said it was very hard not being able to visit with them. It is amazing how quickly they learn a routine. The routine is, she comes over, and we get her two treats to give to them. So when she came over today, they stood on the porch waiting for Mom to come back out with the treats that she would give to the neighbor which she would then give to the puppies. Did you get that? LOL. Trust me, the boys understand the routine perfectly. That is why they are watching the door so intently, waiting for Mom, and of course their treats. They did very well on the trip, though we did give them a little Puppy Xanax before the ride. It helps with car sickness and it keeps them calm. It works wonders. My Mother-In-Law fell in love with them all over again. She enjoyed them. Well, tomorrow it is back to work. I did a lot of catch up commenting today. Don't know if I will get all caught up or not, but I'm trying. Hope you all have a wonderful Monday.
It's like one of those moments when you can't "open a drawer, open the fridge, or move towards a cupboard!!" Pets always have eyes and ears for those particular sounds. And YES, they do know exactly what's going on with TREATS! (even if you just SPELL it! LOL) Great shot of concentration and expecatations here, Rick.
It is always good to be home, isn't it? I'm traveling tomorrow, and as much as I dread the drive, I will be happy to see my husband and be home. I love this photo of your pups. Look at those attentive ears on the one in the foreground! That cracked me up. Thanks for sending me the info...
Oh Rick. I LOVE THIS!! Your furkids are so very cute and this shot of them says so much. Yorkies are truly brainiacs. We have never had more intelligent dogs as these. It's good to see yours again.
I also have to give my new puppy a pill to relax for he doesn't get sick just going to the groomer. I was hoping he would out grow that, but I guess not.
Boy they get spoiled...love to see them there in anticipation waitig for their treat...until about a year ago I had a neighbor who had too big dogs..so while she was at work I would take them down to the lake for a run..summer and winter..got me out of the house. both of the dogs started barking to be let out when either I or my husband came home. I bet they knew the sound of our cars when coming into the driveway. they come running for a treat. I always kept leftover meat scraps for them or treats from the dog store. yes we spoiled them..but you see we don't have a dog. since our friend moved to Newfoundland we miss her and her babies.
Beautiful Story behind this gorgeous picture. The Yorkies are so beautifl, and looking at this is like looking at the anticipation of our two maltese who also have "Trained us with treats" giving to them. Lovely to know how much your M I L loves them and also your neighbour. Thanks for sharing this is beautiful.
I had a good Monday Rick.
Enjoy your return to work, don't work too hard.
