Finding The Key by digitalrn

Finding The Key

Much of life is so routine. We find ourselves doing the same thing over and over again, day after day. Unless we enjoy what we are doing, life's daily routine will soon grow old, and boring. We will begin to lose sight of happiness. That's where I was back in the late 70's. I was on a road to nowhere. I was not happy with life. I was not happy with my job. I felt enslaved, locked into a life of hopelessness. Finally one day I decided, I need more. I wanted more, so I began my journey to find new meaning and purpose. I had no idea which direction I was going to be heading, or where I was going to end up, but I knew I had to find the key, I had to find a way to unlock the door that would lead me to a more fulfilling life. I think the key that finally unlocked that door was the desire to be used, the willingness to be led, and being open to possibility. Once I began taking those steps to do something, doors began to open. The possibilities presentented themselves. For me, the key was taking that first step. This old lock and several keys I found in a jar that belonged to my Grandfather works well for this week's theme, plus for me it represents, and reminds me where I was at one time, and a place where I do not want to return to. Life can be full of possibilities if we are willing to look or them. Is life routine for me today? Yes. The difference is, I find daily satisfaction, and purpose in what I do, and I see results.
Great black and white

How nice of you to share that story with us! Back then, was your camera in your hand? I used to be in a dark place, too, but I've found my camera has a lot to do with changing me, even if my life is wonderful, now.
