I went for a drive this afternoon, and decided to drive out to the wildlife preserve. Wow, did I find a surprise. It was packed with cars. I wasn't sure what was going on, and I almost turned around and left the park, but then I saw the attraction. It was loaded with snow geese. I could not believe all the geese, and the people. I pulled together a few photos just to give you an idea how many there were. Keep in mind, this is just one area. I couldn't even venture a guess how many thousand there were. People were out with their cameras, and as you can see, the guy in the middle brought out the big gun. It was quite the experience.
What a wonderful way of showing us all the snow geese..to see something like this in person is so cool..but I'm happy for you sharing this with us. fav. Rick.
This is absolutely awesome, Rick! I would love to see a sight like this. It's right up my alley. The guy with the giant lens in the middle blew me away. Honestly, I did not even know they made lenses that huge. Does he work for National Geographic? That is a professional piece.
Ah, but did you see the Snow Goose? We had a Lazuli Bunting at our wildlife sanctuary and the same craziness. It's not even that pretty. Just uncommon here.
