Dad!!! by digitalrn

Dad!!!

My Daughter wanted to mow the lawn today before it rained, so out there she is mowing away, and then all of a sudden I hear her calling me, then started to laugh. Dad...I just took the head off of one of my sunflowers, LOL. I said in return, that's why you're not driving yet. She didn't think that was funny.
oops! haha! Great picture!

Great catch

that's what happens when you drive and text -- !! haha!
June 4th, 2012
Ha! Glad she could laugh about it. Nice shot.
June 4th, 2012
Uh oh! Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes! Fun shot.
June 4th, 2012
Doh!!

:) Neat story

oooopsie!
June 4th, 2012
:) cute.

Exactly why I have a push reel mower and not one like yours; more control over what gets mowed over and snicked. :D
June 4th, 2012
Wonderful story and pic! :0)
June 4th, 2012
I really like the pov on this one!
June 4th, 2012
Opps! Cute pic!
June 4th, 2012
I would do something like that too. Im a very bad gardener
June 4th, 2012
lol, and now she's reminded for ever
June 4th, 2012
Fun shot and story! :)
June 4th, 2012
Funny and not funny, Rick. Losing a sunflower, especially if it was the only one you had. But these things happen and dads always forgive. Lovely capture.
June 4th, 2012
Ruh roh...!
June 4th, 2012
hehe! these things happens :)
June 4th, 2012
A nice candid shot.
June 4th, 2012
@sangwann Well fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, it belonged to her. It was her project after coming home. It was too funny to see her expression
June 4th, 2012
Tell her she'd better wear closed toe shoes next time... Wouldn't want a toe injured like the sunflower. :-)
June 4th, 2012
Very funny. :)
June 4th, 2012
Better a sunflower than a toe...
June 4th, 2012
She needs to wear supportive footwear. My brother almost cut off his toe with a lawn mower. Your picture today shows a slice of life in the summertime. Nice!
June 4th, 2012
Lol, I'm not allowed to touch the mower. It's self-propelled and my lines are crooked.
June 4th, 2012
@carmichaelbev Beverly's comment about a slice of summertime is too close to the truth!
June 4th, 2012
Oops
June 4th, 2012
Love the shoes she's wearing to mow the lawn :).
June 4th, 2012
RIP sunflower, you stood no chance lol.
June 4th, 2012
LOL. This really gave me a chuckle, Rick, and reading through everyone's comments was really funny, too. So, tomorrow you're going to post her expression, right?
June 5th, 2012
@sandier Oh my, it's bad enough I posted this one, and she doesn't know it. LOL, really, she would laugh at it.
June 5th, 2012
I am still in shock that a daughter asked to mow the yard. LOL.. Good shot Rick
June 5th, 2012
I agree with Sue...those shoes need some work! I love the candid of the mishap though !
June 5th, 2012
@sarasdadandmom LOL, it has been great having her around as I can sit on the porch and watch :O
June 5th, 2012
LOL! Nice shot, Rick!
June 5th, 2012
I love it when you post photos of your daughter. Good for her for mowing the lawn, even if she had a casualty. I don't know if I could even start ours, although I am considering learning how to use the rototiller for a project my husband has nixed.
June 5th, 2012
You were quick with your answer..don't blame her if she didn't like it.. so the first thing I noticed when looking at here is that she's not wearing proper shoes for this kind of work...but it was nice of her to do it. I know your're proud of her.
June 6th, 2012
hahaha, great capture! ;-]
June 7th, 2012
Nice clear shot ... to bad for the sunflower :)
June 9th, 2012
Defn: weed: any plant that you get to with a lawn mower.

And yes, get so better shoes on. Other than that, great capture.
June 10th, 2012
ha!ha! good capture! I like her look :)
