With my schedule the kitchen is taking longer than I thought it would. I forgot how much woodwork had to be trimmed, the patching, sanding, and patching again, then double coating. At least the worst is over now. The only thing I need to do anymore is roll the main parts yet. Josie picked out her new curtains, bought a new clock to replace the old one, and picked out some wall décor. We are going with black wrought iron, and metal type décor with some black shelves, etc. I was hoping to get it all done this weekend, but that didn't quite happen. So another one to go.
@espyetta LOL, the paintbrush is as far as it goes MaryBeth. Give me a hammer and I start destroying things. Not very handy when it comes to building things.
Put in a new shower for my son recently. Why do manufacturers change things?? Replaced 900 x 900mm tray with a new one - only to find the new ones are now all 903mm sq!!! Not a big difference but a LOT extra work to get it to fit!!
WOW!! Tell Josie I LOVE her taste in decor. What color are the walls? I love what you guys have done and I bet she is going to enjoy that kitchen color for a long time. A picture of it belongs in Home and Garden magazine... The black accent color will be perfect. You guys are good!!!
Can I hire you? Hans doesn't like painting..looks like a very professional job to me. Josie and you picked some very nice colors..was a bit skeptical about the painted wood, but it looks great.
Sometimes, the longer something takes, the better it looks... and if the kitchen is taking longer than expected, you'll find things and details that are going to take a little longer and will find the patience for them.
Planning and working on a place is like finishing a painting... the devil's in the details. :)
