While I was out for a little walk this evening, I spotted this little guy. He was definitely accustomed to being around people, because he did not appear to be shy at all. I was able to get within about 15 feet of him, and he continued to chew on his snack. He was so well behaved, I figured it couldn't have been Alvin.
Some little critters -like this guy - sometimes thinks that if they stay still long enough you can't see them... and he probably thought you'd go away if he didn't move. I've had Blue Tongue Lizards lay around my back yard within feet of me, staying very, very still, thinking I'll not see them when really I have... but then, there was that one time when the lizard and I both didn't see each other and he nearly climbed me out of fright! Now that was funny! :D
last year and I haven't seen one since.
