The Rising

This was what we faced as Josie and I drove to work this morning. It was raining most of the night, and by this morning our area had approximately 5 inches of rain. The fields were saturated and here on this stretch of roadway the water was at road level, up ahead it had already crossed over, but still passable. They were predicting another 2 inches before the end of the day. Would be able to get home the same way?

It's surprising to me how different our weather can be just a few hours away from you. I'm glad to know that you did make it home safely and although the weather tricked us into cancelling our fall outing, we'll find something festive to do in November/December.
