Well this morning we had our first significant snow fall. The commute was tricky with the slick roadways, but we took our time and made it safely. I took some time to wander out into the courtyard where I work and grabbed a few shots of the snow. As much as I dislike the cold and the snow, it does look pretty.
Very pretty!! I am somewhat jealous of the snow. We get a little bit down here every couple of years or so, but in our line of work I have to spend the night at my facility. That I don't care to do. This photo is really great!!
I had planned to do the food shopping today but decided not to deal with the snow! Our woodstove was toasting away and it was nice to be able to stay inside. Sorry your commute was slippery but glad to hear you made it in one piece. I wandered out in the yard and took a similar shot on our pines- but I had decided to post something different before I saw your post. But yours is so pretty maybe I'll reconsider!
I'm not ready for snow either. We've had snow for a couple of days now, just enough to make it sloppy. I only think snow is pretty in pictures, like this one where I don't have to feel the cold. LOL!
Delightful capture. I love to see these snow photos but don't envy you for them. We have a clear sunny day today though a bit chilly - great for a walk.
Always like fresh snow. very pretty shot. we just came back from the tree farm. it was bitter cold and a nasty wind was blowing. the first tree we saw was the one we wound up with after wandering through the rest of them. I took a few pictures, but my hand were almost falling off!
I LOVE the first snowfall - i just don't like all the piles of snow that follow that! ;) Stay safe on those roads Rick. Right now we're under a deep freeze and have a 3 day snow squall warning (quite a weather system even for us)! Total accumulations could reach 50cm in some areas but hopefully that stays north of us. I think we'll be guaranteed a white Christmas.
