Here is a shot of another old church in my home town, I think built under the direction of the Coleman Family in the early 1800's. The Coleman's were the forerunners of the iron industry in our area. One of the earliest of the Coleman's, Robert Coleman was born in November of 1748 near Castlefin, in County Donegal, Ireland. The family came to the area and through the years were very influential in the growth of the iron industry. This church is still in use today.
This is great - can you imagine the work that went into building this beauty? Your shot shows the detail so well. Your area certainly has had a lot of important families that contributed so much to the growth of southwestern Pennsylvania.
