I'm not a big fan of slugs, but your message and interpretation touched me because this summer has been both wonderful and difficult. Even though I have never met you, you are one of my friends that always gives me a lift up, Rick. I've been praying your new granddaughter arrives safely and easily. You and Josie are such fabulous grandparents already. That little girl who is yet to be born is so lucky she will have the love of both of you, as well as her parents. I can't wait to "meet" her.
@lauriehiggins Laurie that was so nice of you, thank you so much, and we are so eager for the new Grandbaby. We appreciate the prayers, and I am glad I was able to give you a little boost. Who knows, one day when we head up North to explore that area, perhaps we can meet.
Yuk. If you have grubs or slugs , here is something I just read:
Place a few slices of cucumber in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in he cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area. I haven't tried it yet.
