No Man Is An Island by digitalrn

No Man Is An Island

That's what came to mind when I snapped this photo. The saying is from a poem written by John Donne (1572 - 1631) He reminds us that human beings do not thrive when isolated from others. This is so true. We are all a part of the big picture. We all have a part in our big world, possessing our own significance. Even this little island depends on the surrounding water. If the water was removed, it wouldn't be an island would it?
Beautiful b&w

Quite interesting observation - and well phrased, Rick. Good shot to go with it.

Yes, Mr. Donne had it right, but I think Solomon said it first when he wrote, "Two are better than one..." Nice shot.
