I've been there probably a dozen times or so over the course of my lifetime. It's crowded in the summer time to be sure, but there are spots where you can be pretty much alone.
@webfoot I'm wanting to go in the late spring time if I can. I have a handicapped sister I want to take the first time I go and wondering can you just drive through and look at the scenery? I'll go back for me and my camera later. :) Maybe in the Fall when the leaves change! :D

Yes you can. Spring is a good time to go. The waterfalls will be at their highest at that time, but once May hits, the weekends are crowded no matter what. If you can come during the middle of the week, it's probably better for a day trip like that.
@webfoot Thank you so much for the information! I'm going to start planning this trip out. It was just a spur of the moment thing this weekend and I'm almost glad it didn't pan out now.
@webfoot thank you SO much for sharing. That was absolutely stunning. My step father keeps telling me to go to Yosemite. Definitely have to put it on my bucket list and then make sure I go!
