@shirljess - I did this using Windows Movie Maker (free software that came with my PC). It's a little daunting at first, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to upload your photos, time them and add titles. Also, I got the music from a site called Pond5, which has royalty free music for sale for fairly cheap. Using a "real" song limits how you can use the video on YouTube.
