Jim - You can just ask people to post hometown photos for a thread, which they are doing now.
Or you can do a theme/contest in which you ask them to take photos of a certain theme and then you give it a tag: for example hometown-1 . They will then put this tag on each photo and when you go to hometown-1 you will see a collection of photos or entries.
Threads are nice, becasue people can go through their collection of photos and pull one that matches.
@justjim I'm confused. Is it a theme for the week, or just one photo? I recently challenged myself to do a week of photographs of the same subject, just to see if I could do it more than anything. It's interesting. I think you'll definitely enjoy it.
I don't have that many photos I could say "define" my town, if any at all, but surprised myself by finding two that are at least of my town -
well i leave it up to the folks them self to choose, i could put many for our town, but its harder just to put one up but i leave it to you all, love to see what people come up with
