Great video. Thanks for sharing. I was bullied all throughout high school for being gay. To this day and sadly, it's all I remember about high school. While my peers were enjoying it and dating and such, I was merely trying to survive...
@naturalbeauty wow thanks for sharing that, I've shared it on Facebook too. @seafilam72 so sad to hear you have so many sad memories of high school, my son's best friend is having similar issues at school - initially in an all boys high school the stand on bullying was "get over it, it'll make a man of of you" since moving to a co-ed school things have been slightly easier for him - my son has been there beside him all the way, something that at times has not been easy for him either but we are very proud of both the boys.
I recently went to my high school reunion to have a lovely lady come up to me & say she remembered me as being the only person who was kind to her! It made me sad to think that while I looked back fondly on high school she & many others either can't or don't, so all my love goes out to them.
Thanks, Sherrill...it would've made a huge difference to me if I had more people like you in high school. It would've made my days bearable and livable to say the least. Kindness and compassion, even in the slightest bit can make a huge difference in someone's day.
What a kind, caring, and compassionate son you have...and good for him for being there for his friend. I wish them both the best of luck and strength to get through this together.
I hope I made a difference ( @seafilam72 ) Alan I wish I had done more to try & stop it from happening, unfortunately I wasn't as strong then as I am now.
