Please forgive me if this is horribly amateurish =P But I just discovered Tilt Shift Photography! I thought this was such a cool affect wanted to share it for anyone else that is maybe new to photography and hadn't heard of it...or maybe get some feedback from anyone that has experience with it. Please share your thoughts/ feedback on this technique and if you have any that you've done please post! Anyway, here is the page I stumbled upon, I'm sure there may be better ones somewhere:
My compact camera has a "miniaturise" setting, which is essentially the same thing. I like it! However, I have only taken a couple of photos with it so far.
it is not just an effect it also corrects for convergance... which is why it exists... but you need to be able to move the film plane for those times you don't want your mountains and builds to be falling over...

I used that website to make my tiltshift pictures, and it works alright..
