@shutterbug0810 thank you so much. I've had so many problems lately mine keeps saying "communication between camera and lens is faulty. Clean the lens contacts" and I've taken it apart at least ten times just today. Sometimes it works for one or two shots, and then the error shows up again. My next stop is the camera shop...

This actually reminded me that I had a blob on the wonderful D40X sensor...got out my trusty brush and blower...sheets of white paper...and NO MORE BLOB!
