Back In!

January 3rd, 2012
So I tried 365 for the first time last year and failed miserably. I lost it after June, but have decided to try again. Using a new account I want to start a new year. I had many followers before and hope I can get some back along with many new ones. Has anyone else experienced the fail and what are your thoughts? Part of my resolution this year was taking more time out for myself and what I love, and well photography is included in that!

I did too, well even earlier than June last year, but I'm back and better than ever--at least that's what i keep telling everyone. :)

I stopped last year after 45 photos. I got so busy with work (I'm a photographer) that I was finding it hard to make time. Besides there were long days where I didn't want to pick up my camera or stare at my computer another minute. This year I'm going to try to keep my flame going and not start to see 365 as 'work'. Doing these photos brings out so much of who I am. I don't want to give it up this time.

Count me in that group too! I made it a mere maybe four and halfish months, but this year I am hoping to stick it out for the whole year.

I started last Jan but due to house move and no internet I lost about 3 months over 5 months, but I didn't give up. I have continued to upload when I have time, have had up to 12 days worth of pics on my camera waiting to be uploaded oops!! lol
I as long as I take a pic a day I dont worry about it now, The only thing I miss is having time to look at everyone elses pics,
So keep going no matter what, you can do it, my year will be 1 year and 3 months long but hey who is counting lol :-))

@foursides Completely agree with setting this aside from work, I don't have any work on here and have surprised myself with how creative I have been thinking of it as a hobby instead :) I haven't been able to hold a camera for the last month due to shoulder surgery and so will start my project again this week but without using my 5D MK II's or D700 - I am going to use an Olympus PEN 3 as psychologically it couldn't be more different in size to my usual daytime 'tools'. 365 has got me enjoying my photography again and separating it from the day job has got to be more healthy! Lol and let's not feel like 365 is a job - it is here to be enjoyed :)

I went from January until September last year and then stopped. So I started again this year too! Welcome back and lets do it this year! all 366 days!!

i made the whole year but while i was looking through the months i didnĀ“t like what i saw, way to much fillers and uninspired pictures. so new year, new chance with a new acc! :)

I failed, fell flat on my face is closer. I wanted to do a same subject 365. I started in January with my cats. Lost it after only day 42. I didn't try again til September.
I am still attempting a same subject 365, this time with a small aqua colored bottle. So far so well.
I think I am doing it more for the right reasons this time around. I was struggling with my creativity, so I figured If I had to photograph the same subject for a whole year I would have to get a lot more creative. Boy was I ever right. This has improved my approach to coming up with ideas.
I wish you the best on your new project and hope you are able to see it through.

I made it to April and started wavering to the point I was only taking a photo every so often. I hit a slump and I think I took the project far too seriously last year, trying to be as good as the pros and never getting there. So this is my second and a new year with a new attitude and that's to have fun and enjoy it. Not to get stressed out if it goes wrong and just shoot about anything, even on the boring days when I do nothing.

Here's hoping we all manage to complete our projects this year.
