I am very very happy to have watched sunrise this morning to find out about 365 project, i have always loved photography and just 2 days ago my husband bought me my first dslr and i am SUPER excited to start the journey to becoming better at my passion, this is an excellent way that i can start practicing my hobby with feedback from people who love the same thing, thank you whoever started this and i look forward to mingling and learning and having fun with photography, hopefully i will hear from someone else out there :-)
Welcome to project 365 @dessie ! I joined two months ago and If I compare the way I took pics back then and the way I shoot them now I can already see the differences that are caused by all those great experiences and inspiration I gained in this project and from the community!
Hi Desrae, seems like you had a really good Christmas! I think the 365Project is a really good idea! I have just started mine and I dont know where it will take me, but, like you, I hope it will enhance my photography. Good luck!
Welcome! I just joined a few days ago myself, and I'm liking the structure that 365 gives to me to keep me shooting pictures. I love taking pictures, but sometimes lose focus (pun intended) when I don't have a subject to shoot. With 365, I've set myself up a calendar of subjects to shoot throughout the year, and hopefully will look back here in a year and see improvements on my techniques and composition. Hopefully you'll have similar results :)
I was just thinking the same thing :), I started 2 weeks ago and Im thinking bigger and more ready to grab my camera daily. There are frequent themes and competitions that are great, many ideas floating around on here, I often OD on searching by tags or the popular section ... oh I hope I get popular on here lol ;)
I agree with @foursides - the community here is pretty great. I get way more feedback on my images here than on Flickr, which says a lot considering I have hundreds of contacts there.

I had heard about a couple of friends starting it early last year, but I had problems with my camera. I'm so excited to be stuck into it this year, one a day just isn't enough for now!
Welcome! if you feel overwhelmed at some point, take a day off, other than that HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!! just be warned, this site may make you a photo addict :)
Wow thanks everyone I am overwhelmed by the friendly responses and very excited to start the journey :) I love the picture that won the last theme it's a wow for me, how did they make the face look so bright but the tree look like it was taken in the dark??? Probably an beginner question but I'm here to learn :)

But i have been talking to my husband about my love of photography and my desire to get a dslr since i met him about 5 years ago, i have loved photography since i was a child so it was a very nice surprise for my patience, how long have you been into photography?
@eryck Hi there, what is a tag i noticed when i uploaded a photo they said add a tag, i was like "what is a tag..." now you can tell me :-) I am loving this project, it is a very cool motivator to use my cam, although i am very excited about my cam because i just got it 2 days ago and it is my first dslr very excited! what cam do you have?
@ang_2012 I am so glad i found out about this it is really cool, i wish i had my own laptop to work on things everyday but my husbands will have to do for now :-)
