Inspiration.

Hello guys! I haven't used 365 in almost a year and decided to start again in 2012, but I've literally had no kind of inspiration for MONTHS. I thought it was just one of those times, but I'm finding it very hard to be inspired. What inspires you guys? Any tips?

I try to go out in the world and look at common, every day things in a different way. I look for ways to highlight a different angle, interesting colors or textures, or things about where I live that are unique. Once in a while, if I have song lyrics stuck in my head, I try to find an image to match. I find when I'm uninspired and I go out looking for a photo, I don't usually find anything. But if I go out with the intention of just observing the world around me, ideas start to pop into my head.

Good luck!

@grecican You read my mind :-) Besides the obvious it can be anything!!! Really anything. You know what I mean because your pictures show that.

in all seriousness, what's been inspiring me more than ever as of late is this site and all of the talent it brings along with it.

Shoot things around you--whatever is on your plate, desk, night stand, balcony, at your door, out your window, on your ceiling, in your mirror, or in your neighborhood. I got a macro lens which I love--all the little things seems so big and fascinating! Shoot things you love--kids, pets, flowers, trees, sunsets, birds, people, or the moon--the more you look through the camera, things begin to look so differently. Also, accept the fact that some days your photos will suck! It's part of the journey. Just keep snapping! Enjoy the challenge and remember there is beauty and emotion everywhere you look! :-)

Copying... I mean interpreting. When I'm not already inspired, looking at photos others took and giving it my own interpretation helps me to get back into taking daily photos.

I think of what I already have an emotional attachment to. People, places, and things that remind me of them. Mementos and what they stir in me. If I already have an emotive response, they can become seeds of inspiration.

You are following more that 1000 people. Surely you could get some inspiration by looking at their photos.

@meisen325 ---- Wow! I think that the most I've heard of anyone following. WOW! Yep, there should be tons of inspiration in those photos. It would be completely overwhelming for me.

Search 'inspiration' in the upper right search box, press enter. Tons of posts will show up. It's all there, too.

i would love to "follow" your strolls in your city and discover it thru your eyes... you live in a fabulous country I wish I'll visit one day!

@daliadestructo Yay, Dalia! If I can do it, you can too! Don't try so hard. It just happens.

I honestly think some get to pent up with the desire to be on the popular page, like it is a badge of honor or something, and their obsession, or whatever it is, brings them down (base don some of the discussion boards in the past). I don't think this is the case with you, though. Just let er rip!

Everything and anything ... Before I decided upon my daughter for yesterday's photo (one I had taken already in the day), I took a photo of something on my desk and really liked it ...

I look for lines, patterns, colours, oddiities, normalities, food, children, everything ...

@parisouailleurs
I agree with Helene. I'm following both of you because I've enjoyed viewing your world, which is so different than mine.

the first year that i did 365, I decided to take good look around where I was working. The same path that i'd take to work day in day out - open my eyes and see what was REALLY there... do some research into any buildings / anything interesting that I saw

I'm contemplating a second full year of 365... the thought's daunting but I might give it a shot. This time round i'm going to use it as a photo journal of my year
