I just joined the site and really appreciate every single one of the comments people have made on my pictures so far. I also really enjoy looking at everyone else's work, and like to comment on that in return. For me, comments are the main thing that differentiates this site from, say, Flickr.
I was therefore very surprised (and maybe just a little hurt) to get a message flashing up on my screen indicating that my comments were beginning to look 'too spammy' and banning me from commenting for 5 mins.
I'm sure there is a good reason for this, but I don't know what it is.
To paraphrase, "I am not a spammer, I am a real person!"
Don't take it to heart. Everyone has a limitation of # comments they can post in a certain time frame. Give the system 5minutes or so and you can post more comments. Hope this helps and welcome to 365!
I think it works like a "flood control" and maybe your moving a little too fast?! LOL!! I don't know? Don't worry about it. I'm sure in time, you won't get that message anymore.
I think this is a new feature put into the site in the last couple of weeks, though I have no clue why. Over a year on this site and I have never seen a spam comment nor have I ever received one. But...it's there...I don't know what triggers the alarm but many people have been getting it lately. Don't fret, I believe you're real!
I did not even know about this feature...no wonder I never finish...I am probably commenting too slowly. I wouldn't take it to heart. :-) It doesn't seem like it's personal...just slow down a little bit, I guess.
@jenirainbow - Don't let it put you off, i;m sure it was just the system dealing with all the comments in one go. Everyone appreciates every single comment i'm sure, and i definately agree that it's that the makes this site different to others and stands it apart. Welcome to 365 :D
it happened to me too, I guess they are just making sure that only the right people are posting and not spamming....I love making comments and love getting comments....so don't take it to heart !
Yep, I appreciate you are genuine, some people are not so genuine, if you are writing a lot of the same comments (copy & pasting) or writing a lot then you will see this message. Chill out and come back in 5 :-)

But sadly, if there was an Olympic Gold for slowest ever typing, I would be a dead cert to win it! I don't copy and paste (or hardly at all) either. Its a mystery to me but you are all lovely and that is what really counts!
