I've noticed that though 179 is CLOSE to 50%, it's sadly not 50% of 365. Though the site says it is... anyone got a clue as to why? Rounding up wouldn't account for it, as 179/365 is 49.0. Anyone?
@cadair8@ukers@arlyah365 I know it says 49% on mine, but I'm actually at 48.2%, however it wasn't mine I was referring to, SaretheFish had hers at 50% on her 179th shot and it begged the question. Any ideas as to why?
@Scrivna@Wesley@arlyah365 Seems it's rounding up. 179/365 is .490410959. I looked at mine and it to rounded up - 256/365 to 71% when it's actually .701369863. I checked a few others and noticed the same rounding up issue. I noticed this when I hit 50%, but forgot to mention it to Ross.
yeah, it's always going to be off as we're dividing by an odd number, i've changed it now so it should be a little more accurate. It was rounding upwards regardless, now the rounding is a little less jumpy, but it's never going to be totally correct unless we show the decimals, which isn't going to happen.
In my opinion, the rounding upwards is logical. I prefer it that way than seeing a decimal. Besides, 1% and less doesn't really matter, well to me anyway. :-)
@Scrivna@lintbrush Thanks guys! I wasn't at all upset or anything of the likes, I'm way to addicted to this site for that, I was just rather excited this morning to be at the 50% point, then it didn't make sense. lol, SO close, just a few more days to go...
