@jo365- flickr is a lot like 365 in a way... but a much MUCH bigger community. There are a lot more people on that site. Flickr allows you to upload as many pictures as you want on any given day. Like 365, you can tag your photos too. You can follow people, comment on pictures, and recieve comments as well. It takes a little getting used to lol

It's generally a more professional site, and is used by pros to publicise their work.

@jo365 Flickr has the added benefit of being able to control who sees your photos - you can have a photo public, only viewable by friends, only viewable by family, or only viewable by friends+family (all depending on how you categorise another Flickr member, in the same way). I primarily use it to share family photos with my parents and other family, because I can post them without giving anyone else access to them thus allowing me to leave off watermarks and so-on, so they can download them and print them. Max file size for a Flickr Pro account is 20mb, and it doesn't resample the images you upload, so quality is maintained - it means I can upload my photos at almost full resolution and quality (certainly good enough to print 8x12 inch photos). However, as a community I think 365 is much better - Flickr can be a bit of a popularity contest where the popular people are often so because they scratch the backs of all the other popular people. There are whole instruction manuals on how to be on Flickr's "interesting" pages, and it's not dependant on good or interesting images, but rather how many of the popular people comment on and fave your work. That's not to say Flickr's community is bad, but it is a bit weird (especially in regards to some of the groups).

My flickr account is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cellphonesusie/

I use flickr as my published photo repository. For a $25 annual membership, I can upload as many full resolution images as I want (over 5500 by now!). What I like about flickr: you can set up collections and sets to categorize your images (you can see mine along the right side of the screen). Another feature I enjoy are the interest groups. There are groups for all sorts of topics and subjects. As an example, here's one for images of "just windows"! http://www.flickr.com/groups/windowsnaps/. I love HDR, and I post mine to an HDR group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/hdr/ . It also supports geo-tagging, which is fun to use, and has ability to add notes to images and tag the people shown in them. Anyway, I guess you can tell I'm a flickr fan!
