A question for long-timers

I guess Ross would be the best to answer this. Many of us are reaching 100% today and the sense of poignant farewell resembles the feelings from the last day of summer camp. My question to anyone who has been here long enough to see more than 1 year go by, is whether this is customary or has the intimacy many of us have felt been unusual and special? So many are vowing to continue, at least periodically, because of the great camaraderie we feel. It has been a wonderful ride and we don't want it to end.

I agree wholeheartedly. Well, you already knew that. Which is why I came back for a second trip around the sun.

Today marks 75%. I thought I might enjoy doing this when I started but I am surprised at how well I am doing with this project. I don't see any point to stop unless I just can't do it anymore. I have loved photography for many years and am certain that I would never just put down the camera and walk away. There are way to many things to learn, for me. So, for now I plan to continue.

I love that analogy, Allison ... the last day of summer camp! And, I'm going to say that what we've felt *is* unusual and special, as well as, usual and customary! I have wondered how many "mini-communities" there actually are in this 365? We just belong to one of many, and, Chris is right. The reason I'm continuing is because of the community. It was an unexpected benefit that I couldn't have predicted when I began the project one year ago today ...

Allison, I think yousaid it very well. I am only a little over 200 and have until June, but I cannot see myself giving it up. I think it's amazing that you can feel so close to people you've never met, just by meeting here daily to share photos and comments. I think it's a special place.
