Wow! I remember when I started in 2009 there was just a few hundred posting daily, I went on hol over Christmas/New Year and when I returned, the place felt swamped... deja vu...

ha, I just noticed there were over 4000 pics posted yesterday on the Browse/Day section (100 pages, usually its about 20-dd!) and was about to start a thread wondering if @eyebrows would know something about it! Seems you do!

So checking the Per Day browsing, there were 3,400 more photos on Jan 1st than Dec 31st. Be interesting to see how much, and how quickly, this tails off...
@eyebrows@andycoleborn we are trendy! i serioulsy can't believe there are 100+ pages of daily posts now. When i joined last year there was like 18-20 pages if that. Big growth over recent month.
But with out sounding pesamistic, lets see who can hack the whole year and not drop out, its been tough.

New here as well, and enjoying browsing all of the great photos! One question: how do "themes" get started? I see discussions about them, but no real information about submitting a photo for a specific theme.
@ronah Essentially, the winner of the current theme chooses next week's theme. So, theme-blue will finish on Sunday, and Ross and the site admins will go through the (no doubt thousands of) entries and pick out their 5 favourites and we'll all then get to vote on them over the course of the week. Whoever gets the most votes wins, and chooses the next theme.
yep. I was one of the newbies that started on the 1st. Got a new camera for Christmas, so what better way to learn all of its little functions than to explore and share!
Both Hubby and I are new here too with our good old point and shoots! Keen and eager to learn (and no doubt find more reasons to each get cooler cameras!)
I didn't particularly intent to start my Project365 on 1/1/11 but that's how it turned out. This is going to be a big year for me, and I'm looking forward to chronicling it amongt such fantastic company!
I'm new and started a few days ago, I took a lot of photographs last year though just sorting through them to see if I can find one for each day and uploading them (yes I am very bored and need to find something to do) but am having fun. My photo for today will be off my cousins new puppy which I am going to see later on :D
I'm a newbie too. Don't know too much about photography, but I hope with practice, practice, practice... I'll get better, better, better. I'm enjoying viewing all the cool pics from people who know what they're doing! New to the project, but not entirely new to photography. I took a lot of photo classes in college (5+years ago) and started to get semi-serious with it but then I had to join the real world and it got put on the back burner. I bought myself a Canon Rebel last summer and I'm really enjoying getting back into the world of photography.
A friend of mine posted about his on Facebook, so I decided to join. What better way to play with my new Christmas present? I also love getting inspired by others. :)
