We just bought a house and each of my kiddos will now have there own room. My oldest son who will be 5 on the 16th wants to do his room in a fire department theme. So with that being said I was wondering if there are any fire fighters out there that would be willing to take pics of there trucks and send them to me so that I can print them and frame them to hang on his walls.
Why don't you just go to the local fire station and ask to do that? They might even be outside. Then you can post them here and you can say that they're your photos on your kid's bedroom walls!
Most of the time You can go to your local fire station and have a tour with your kids.. You may have to make an appointment to do it. or some places if they are not busy will let you do it if you just walk in...
If you take your son, you can get a photo of him in the truck and maybe with some of their equipment. I run a parent toddler program and have done a number of fire station tours and have plenty of pics of trucks and equipment , so if you email me at nikki_leahy@hotmail.com I can send you what I have...
Why not go to your local Fire Department and shoot them yourself? Wouldn't that be more awesome to have your own work hanging in your sons room.... :-)
Hi Katie! I've been dying to take some photos at my boyfriend's fire station. Not that it matters, but he works at one of the busiest fire stations in the states. I'll make sure to share 'em with you. :)
I see what Katie is saying, she has pictures of all our local FD's because our whole family is involved with the FD. What she wants is a wide variety of firetrucks for my nephew's room so that he can see trucks that he has never seen before.
@lovemysailor02 I don't usually photograph at work, but seem to be doing it more and more now that I am trying to keep up with this 365 program. I have one photo of my old assignment here ( http://jcrowley40.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2t68qw) and hope to have some more if the weather breaks.
Here is an Australian firefighter if you are interested. Do you have an e-mail to send any too. I took some of the truck and rolling up the hoses on this day
Katie...I have some control burn fire photos I took this past summer I'd be more than happy to share with you. It was a community effort with several departments and while I'm usually my own worst critic...I got some good shots that day. My email address is nonni_f@comcast.net Just shoot me an email and I'll dig them out for you.
Your son makes me think of childhood with two of my brothers....always playing firemen, who grew up to be "real" firefighters!
My local firestation held an open house in the fall, so of course, I went with my trusty camera! You're welcome to use any of those if they appeal to your son!
@nikkers@jcrowley40@barrymikhal ... Here I was thinking this was a call for fire fighters for photography models! ROFLMAO and a little disappointed! lol again.
