Uploading from iPad?

January 6th, 2011
If I want to travel with my iPad instead of my laptop is there a trick to doing this? Apple is so proprietory that it won't allow Flash Player to load.

I have the Camera Connection Kit for my SD Card and can get my photos transferred into the iPad Photos File, but can't seem to get them back out to upload into 365.

I haven't tried it yet, but I think you can upload photos by emailing them to the address given on the upload page.

@mamabec I am also very curious about this Becky, as I am going to be traveling in March for 7 weeks in Europe and would desperately love to be able to upload my photos while vacationing. I haven't bought an ipad yet because of this problem. BUT I have been doing a lot of searching on the internet and found an app that you can download from the app store that should be free or a dollar, called "CloudBrowse". Apparently it lets you view flash videos and flash sites on your ipod, iphone, and ipad. I don't know for sure if it would work for uploading photos, and I don't have an iPad to try it out, but I think it might work!!!! You can look up videos on youtube on how to use it! If you try CloudBrowse, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS!!!! =)Thanks!!!=)

I just wanted to let all of you know that I figured this all out and will now share how I upload from my iPad while traveling.

I just figured out yesterday with my latest upload that I can use the app PS Express to do some basic editing -cropping, b&w, frames, and a few more. I have been doing sooc while traveling until yesterday. You will need the iPad Camera Connection Kit for your SD Card.

Take your photos, put your SD Card into the separate Apple camera connection adapter and turn on your iPad to your home screen. Insert the Apple connector into the large slot at the bottom edge of your iPad, then just wait for your photos to load. View and select the one you want to upload. At this point I think you go to PS Express to edit. Once you save your edits it will save it back in your photo album on your iPad. Select the edited photo, click on the arrow in the upper right corner and you are given the option to email the photo. A new email will come up with your photo attached as a jpg. This is when you select the size of the photo. There is a size listed on the right of the cc/bc line - tap on the size and make a selection. Enter your 365 address (mine is in my contact list and is named 365 Project so I just type 365 and it comes up). Name your photo in the Subject line and hit send. Sometimes the uploaded photo is on my 365 page immediately and sometimes it takes a whole minute. There will be a pale yellow bar on your Home page that says you have new uploads. Click on the word "here" and proceed as normal.

If you have any more questions just reply on this thread so others can benefit from all of us. Blessings! Becky aka: MamaBec@hotmail.com

I was actually able to use the 365 easy uploader. I just needed to be sure I had the photo identified in my photo storage because there isn't anyway to name your photos...
