Picnik wants to what???

January 12th, 2011
I just got a pop-up while in the middle of editing in Picnik. It said: www.picnik.com is requesting to store information on your computer.
Request: Up to 1MB

Anyone know what this is? First time I see it.

no idea..better get it checked out before gien them permission..we had some nutty people on 365..this might have nothing to do with them though.

I've gotten that message also, a few times, but have no idea why. I usually just say no.

could be pop-up installer or a browser toolbar, probably crap-ware though...

i've never seen that. Don't know what to recomend. Really should contact Picnik themselves about it.

i haven't gotten it yet, but i use picnik all the time. do you have a premium account?? i agree with holly- try and contact picnik- if there's a virus they'll need to know!!

I have got that a couple of times. I always hit deny, turn off the computer and then reboot. and that is with a premium account. Not sure that I am doing the right thing but I did email them about it too!

Speaking of Picnik....maybe somebody could help me with something.....there is a little boy on there, with santa hat on his head, I think advertising the site, while you wait for a photo to upload. There is a person standing behind him, holding something near his ear. What in the heck is it?!?!? Anybody know what I am talking about??

googled it and found this:

Comment Picnik is built on Adobe's Flash Player. The Flash Player keeps track of all your image edits while you're running Picnik. This is useful when you want to undo or redo your edits. To make this possible, it may need to use a very small amount of your computer's space temporarily.

Picnik does not download anything onto your computer and the temporary Local Storage space needed is incredibly small: 1mb. You are welcome to ignore the notice, but when the Flash Player needs more space to run efficiently it will continue to ask.
