Alecio reminded me that I had not done an update on my granddaughter and great granddaughter - sorry
I am pleased to say that Tiffany -GD- is doing great, her kidney started to function soon after they took the baby. She is doing well and showing no adverse effects from her ordeal thank God.
Isabella -GGD- is now seven weeks old and doing really well. She has been breathing on her own since the first few days and has thrived, more than doubling her birth weight of less than three pounds. Today Bella is being transferred to the hospital in their home town in Northern New South Wales, Aust. This means that it won't be long before she is able to go home with her Mommie, something that Tiffany and my daughter Elizabeth are looking forward to very much.
Tiffany's partner is serving in the Australian Army in Iraq and was able to get home for 10 days, the first thing he did was buy Tiffany a huge diamond ring.
I will share a picture of Bella in the next few days so that you can all see how beautiful she is.
A big thank you to all who sent prayers and positive energy to these two special young ladies who mean the world to me
I am new to this information about your granddaughter and great granddaughter but am glad to hear that both are doing well. I know how difficult it is when a family member is seriously ill and how grateful we are for the returning health. My son had sudden heart failure in October which led to me leaving this project. His heart has now recovered to the point that next month they will remove the pump that he has had in his chest. Again, only good thoughts for the health of your GD and GGD.
Although being new this is the first I have heard this news, I am so glad that it is so positive. Nothing stops your life so much as a serious condition with one's children.
I wish everyone a healthy 2011!
