Watching and listening and fearful...

February 2nd, 2011
I just needed to say how frightened I am for all our fellow Australians caught in this shockingly huge cyclone, my heart goes out to you, I pray that we wake tomorrow to hear that everyone is safe. The buildings can be rebuilt, you and your families please stay safe. Queensland 365's - many of us look at your photos each day, please stay safe and we will hear from you when this has passed and your internet has been reconnected.

Looking good so far... light has just hit Innisfall..
theres no loss of life but a baby has been born in an evacuation center.

Mission beach and tully are being called ground zero.

My tv has been hyjacked by lex and bloody dora but last words were sounding like it was going to be /ok/ as far as peoples wellbeing is anyway.
Theres been no structural damage to any of the evac. centers and cairns has faired up better than expected.

News will come of Tully and Mission beach - thats going to be scary :/
Fingers crossed everyone made it through.

From what I've seen on tv it wasn't as bad as expected. No reported injuries or deaths but alot of property damage. Choppers will be going up when it's safe to get some aerial shots to see the most affected areas.
