Most of My Items are rather Random, I don't have the time I'd like to experiment with Photos so how I do my 365 is I grab a Random Object and Take a Photo of it, I think so far my most Random Object is a Plughole! Its weird how things can be seen differently too, For example My Plughole Photo has been seen as a Car Wheel, x
I think my most random object is my daughter's toy iron. I love macro shots and patterns so just went for it. I wouldn't say it was one of the best but I was playing with my macro lens at the time
I was walking to work and noticed in the park that there were a LOT of plastic Easter eggs. The more I looked, the more I realized they were ALL green. This was the one I stopped to photography because it was open and had a hole in one side that made the sun shine through it.
Couldn't decide which was the most random from these two:
I just hadn’t done a pic that day and I chanced on this lamp shade, made from mango leaves. It was the only thing that I could take given the light source.
Picked up my duster to do some housework and just wondered if I could get those feathers to look like the ice that so many had photographed on their windows...
I joined this site in mid December, intending on starting on January 1st. I posted a photo on December 30th, then on a whim, decided to take a quick picture on the 31st. I haven't missed a day yet, but this is definitely my most random object I've photographed.
It's a blood drop. At the place where I used to donate blood, they used to give these as small tokens of appreciation during special times of the year. I have a 50 year commemorative for the Blood Bank's fifty years of service. This one celebrates Independence Day. I also have a Christmas one.
I've been stuck in the house for a month thanks to a car accident, so trying to come up with photo ideas gets more and more challenging. These were from the height of my cabin fever desperation:
This
It is a full glass of wine sitting on my counter. If you look close at the top curve with the brown box looking things in it you can even see my cabinets refracted in it. I was pouring a glass & thought why not.
I think its true what you say Lisa, because I'm at work most of the day & the weather hasn't been fab I find myself looking for things lying around to take a photo off, ie: mobile phone keys/sweets & yesterdays mug & spoon.
But the good thing about that is it makes you try stuff you wouldn't normally :)
Tonight I shot some Bic lighters.... I am going with a theme of red for the month and struggled to find something in the house that was red and they were the first thing I saw
Ha! This is perfect timing as I am lacking some creative drive this week. I would say everything has been kind of random! I like what everyone has posted here, though. It shows that subjects can be anything--very creative!
mmm the plate of peas i have in my album would have to be close but... this was winner of most random object so far i'd suppose.
(p.s. They are soy sauce "fish" not fish clearly but you get what i mean....!)
forgive my post of multiple pictures, but i just find a ton of inspiration from the stuff around me.
@cdford i also have a shot of pushpins :)
to bricks...
a colleague's mug/potted plant...
...or a can opener...
alphabet noodles...

...or a co-worker's butt. :)

These threads (i rarely even sew lol!!)
And these plastic boxes when we were having a Spring Clean!!
Both were pretty random objects. Not sure which is more random.

And this...
Alarm Clock just before bed.
Random blanket my cat was lying on
It's a lamp - it was late and I needed a photo :-)
Sitting at my desk trying to think of a shot - the idea of the texture on the grill just got me thinking it would look cool.

Pile of cigarette butts
Trackball missing it's mouse
Windshield streaks

But the good thing about that is it makes you try stuff you wouldn't normally :)

It's this mineral foundation stuff...it was completely random that it had a smiley face when I opened it up, I swear!!! It was a pleasant surprise ;)
