I know that HP offers over 10 free short courses on digital photography, they are at h30187DOTwww3DOThpDOTcomSLASHall_coursesDOTjsp
Two questions: How good are these courses and are there other sites that offer good FREE courses on digital photography?
Why the uber secret link with the dot and the slash.... tough to click through and too lazy to type it out...
With all things in life... free courses are just that free... if you need a very simple place to start have at it, but coming from HP I would image it is more a sales trip than a free course...
And yes there are many many free 'courses' on the internet... Strobist, Lum Lanscapes, ect come to mind...

Oh,thank you for the link! Allthough I`m light years away from being capable of using professional light/artificial light, that still looks useful!

What`s strobist?... someone told me it`s a snob-ish way to talk about manipulating light, but I`m not sure..

Strobist the writer has written at least a few websites that have everything you need to know about using a flash...
