Does anyone edit photos on an ipad? If so- are there good apps for editing out there you can recommend?
I need to replace my laptop. I am currently considering getting a desk top computer and a ipad. I figure I can use the desk top for high quality editing (I have photoshop) and other programs I need for work (AutoCAD, 3D modeling software etc..) I am not a professional, but I still have high standards and maybe someday might take pictures for friends etc...
I can then use the ipad for quick edits for family pictures etc... I can also use the ipad for internet while sitting on my couch! My kids could also use it to play games on etc...

You may want to consider postponing the purchase of an Ipad a bit, because there is a newer model coming out somewhere around April I believe. I've seen some apps for photo-editing and a lot of them are quite laggy because lacking processing power and available memory. There should be a big improvement in that area on the new model, you can get a lot more out of your apps then.
I have an iPad but do very little photo editing on it. I have the Color Splash App (because it was cheap) and have used it once or twice, but so far I've not done much with photos on the iPad. I'd listen to @raymond and wait until the next one comes out if you can.
I do everything on my ipad. Use Photo FX Ultra, Diptic, True HDR, Instagram, TiltShiftGen. I also use the apple doggle to download. Still you might want to wait. Att just put all there IPad products on sale, so iPad 2 could be coming soon.
@smapp Do any of these apps have a decent heal/ clone tool? I use photo gene, and it's good, but the clone tool is, well, the worst thing in the world . Lol
