Photohosting sites

February 17th, 2011
Other than flickr is there any other photohosting sites that are good or even better than flickr. I've maxed my account out and don't have the money to upgrade right now until I'm paid again.

Would it better to have a facebook page even to show my pictures? Although I feel I'm not good enough for a facebook page.

If not I'll just upgrade flickr later on

I just mentioned this in another thread lol... Shutterfly offers unlimited storage at full resolution for free, plus the share site. (and everything I have ordered from them is always perfect too!)

I use picasa. the application automatically uploads the folders you want to sync. you get 1gb free. and 20gb is $5.00 (£3.10)

@dkg That is really good... Thanks for sharing this one!

i also realized you can set it so that not everyone can download your pictures, just the owner of the site...which is good too if you don't want people downloading your pictures at hi res....

I use Shutterfly for my pictures. I still upload some to FB but I prefer to use Shutterfly http://theciriphotos.shutterfly.com/

Just opened an account, will have a proper look at your albums soon.

I take it though I won't be able to order prints since I'm in the UK?

You can download picasa for free from google, and make photo albums to share with the public or your friends, and people do not have to sign up like they do with shutterfly.

@AshleyMiller - HI Ashley is this Shutterfly Free or there is a membership Fee? How much if there is? Thanks for sharing this info about Shutterfly.
February 18th, 2011
@AshleyMiller - If somebody order your photo in shutterfly, does shutterfly do the sending and printing for the one who order or the person like us will do the sending and printing? just curious. Thanks

@kirsty1975 Thanks Kirsty. I hope you could find the answer to my other question he he he. I hope they will be the one printing and sending it he he he. is the prices for photo in shutterfly to sell is rated by shutterfly or the owner? because i can see prices base on sizes. Thanks
February 18th, 2011
@kirsty1975 ,I found out that you have to place your photo under Shutterfly Pro Gallery and if someone buys your photo either postcard, calendar or canvas or any sizes and kind Shutterfly collects the money and deposit it into your bank account monthly, so Shutterfly do the printing and sending of your photos being bought. cool, still need to know more about the details on that.
