Terrifying forces of nature hitting your country and just want say hope you and members of your families have not been affected. My thoughts go out to you and fellow New Zealanders....
Thank goodness for all the uplifting beauty of 365 when there is just so many tumultuous events going on in the world.

My heart goes out to the people of New Zealand....prayers and love for all those affected in any way. It seems that lately, every time we turn around there is another disaster...but hope must remain alive, and prevail over the darkness.
@farmboy9155 I communicated with Darrell Soper this morning and there were quite a few NZ folk on his post for today. I'm sure he won't mind me attracting his attention to your thoughts and prayers here. Also Alan Warren @brizmako who's sister was caught up in the quake but is ok.
My thoughts are with the people of New Zealand. The destruction in Christchurch looks terrible. Please know that people all over the world are hoping for recovery and healing for the country.
Hope everyone is OK. I have two friends in NZ at the moment, travelling and we don't know when they were meant to arrive in Christ Church, so waiting to hear news still.
@miranda I'm live in Auckland so far away from the carnage that is Christchurch at the moment. I'm glad to say that all the people I know in Christchurch are safe thank goodness but I well up every time I think of those poor people who weren't so lucky (75 confirmed dead but expect more). I went to university in ChCh so it will always have a special place in my heart. The whole of NZ is in state of shock I think. It's just devastating
I have family in Christchurch and haven't been able to contact them, so hope all is okay. The news from there just gets worse and worse. We're copping it in this region weatherwise lately and can only hope the rest of the year calms down.
@girlie Oh Robin! Hope you can get in touch with them all and that they're all safe. I've had the news on since it happened yesterday and it's just horrible seeing all these people waiting to see if their family and friends are ok. It's so upsetting that they're stopping the search in the CTV building, hopefully no one is sitting there waiting, it's understandable but still awful to hear.
