I really dislike this Photo

The more I look at it the more I dislike it...

Im tempted to delete it and add something else but I guess everyone has an off day

you can try and edit it

Whew. I thought one of mine was going to pop up here!

If ya don't like it, delete it! Shoot another one. My cats just saw this and they trounced the computer monitor, the dummies!

No rules, no one's paying us, we can't get fired, so who cares, right?

Not sure what to do to it, Its supposed to be a Tomato Pin Sharpener attached to a Tomato Pin Cushion, its been referred to as a Mouse by My Children.

If I could "like" the above comment I would.

It`s really not that bad..

Can't you swap it for something you do like that day? I have probably a couple of pics a week I'm not that fond of but its sort of a reflection of how my weeks are, some days are good some are a bit pants but they make the good days seem extra special!

Actually thats a good point, Maybe I take this too seriously at times, Ignore Me, WIll just leave it as it is, Theres a lot of days left in the year to get better shots.

I sew so I recognized it immediately. I don’t think it’s that bad. I’m almost through with my day and still don’t have any idea what I’m going to do for my photo today. Tomorrow you will probably see something completely pathetic from me that will make you feel better.

I think the shot is nice and just needs some tweaking through processing. I think the dark (black?) background may be too busy or too much like the "tomato" in the way of texture. Can you process this and make the background softer? The lighting on both "tomato" parts could be altered through processing. Don't ask me how though, as I am just getting into that type of processing. Perhaps you could make a redo with natural lighting and a different textured background (perhaps a smooth one??). If this was mine, I would just choose another shot until I had the time to process this one. However, I am really busy right now, so don't have much extra time.

We all have off days, and that's kind of part of the process. One day I was having a bad day, and the only thing I could take a picture of was my iron and the pile of clothes sitting there. So not good. Just always remember that it's for you, and no one else. If I were to critique the photo, I would just say that it has a lot of textures going on, or almost magnification. With that said, I am at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to knowing what I'm doing, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Lisa, I love this thread :o) So many of these discussions are talking about techniques with words and numbers I don't understand but this thread has highlighted the fact that there really are others out there like me who are doing this for themselves and are only just finding out about photography.

This shot is a visual reminder of the day you were having on the day you took it so I don't think you should delete it. I have soooo many shots on here that I'm unhappy with but then they contrast well with the photos I'm happy with. The majority of your shots are fantastic but this really isn't that bad. It reminds me of a canvas painting x
