camera wrap

February 24th, 2011
I was just wondering if any 365'ers out there use these.
How much padding/protection do they offer your camera?
Just curious if it is worth investing in one to carry my camera in a non camera bag.

Thanks for any comments.

Personally I dont know much about those, but I use a outdoors large microfiber towel (found in the camping section.) which works great and completely covers my camera and then some.

I own a few of these:

that look similar. I use them the way you are proposing. It's not thick enough to protect against a drop but good against jostling, protecting against scratches, etc. They're esp nice when traveling and you have carry an assortment of 'stuff' on a plane.

@pengu1n thanks. I was just wondering how padded they were. mostly to carry a camera in a purse or as you stated plane.

I personally use a neoprene pouch when I put my DSLR in my handbag - enough to protect it from general handbag stresses!!
I got mine on Ebay but sure they will be available elsewhere.

Nod
I have a few of them. Don't use them much as they take quite a lot of space in the camera bag.

Let's say I used to wrap camera bodies and lenses with these wrappers when the camera and lenses were new, but after a while (like a month) it became too much and they were left unused.
