My computer died yesterday and I guess I just wanted to say that it sucks. Hard. So I guess to my followers, I'm still taking pictures and will try to upload and comment asap! Cheers for now and happy shooting!
That happened to me ($350 fix :( ), but before I started 365. Still, I am a blogger, so I had a rough time of it. I did make trips to our local library. They have free internet access and a whole bank of computers. I bought a card reader and uploaded my photos right to photobucket or picnik so I could do some basic edits/tweaks if I needed. Then I did my posts right at the library. It actually worked out well for me because I was not "harassed" by my husband and children. It was an hour of quiet time and I loved it :)
@sevinstitches That's an awesome idea, I should look into that! I always take raw images and uploaded to Lightroom, I should look into this picnik idea, maybe that would be a great option! Thanks!! :D
Lots of computer problems can be solved by just making a back up copy of whatever valuable data you have. People will always have computer issues and what makes it worse is when you are denied using anything in it - especially valuable photos. I always have a routine that works for me and that is making backup copies to 2 of my external hard drives so I can access anything I want in the event something goes wrong. Key element would be to back up to an external storage device and do not rely on your My Documents folder or anything inside your C: drive.
@ggg yeah, luckily I do have everything back upped, I'd be destroyed otherwise :) My main annoyance is being unemployed and my computer dying, making it harder to look for a way to finance a new computer and also loosing my positive distraction with project 365 :( Boooooo! Haha :)
