I saw the Canon wish list and I got a little jealous that there was nothing for Nikon users. I'm relatively new to photography myself and have been slowly building my equipment bag. As of now I have a kit lens, 35mm 1.8 and 70-300VR. Here is my wish list.
**24-70mm 2.8** - This is what I have been saving up for!!! Hopefully by the summer I'll have it. Others that I drool over....
105mm Macro
85mm 1.4G
50mm 1.4G
What about everyone else? What do you have, do you like it and what do you wish you can have?
If you have a DX body, you could think about the 17-55mm VR f/2.8 as a cheaper alternative to the 24-70mm. I've borrowed my friend's many times, and love it. I just want the 24-70mm since I have a film body and probably won't stick to DX for the rest of my life.
@hmgphotos Same here. I currently have a DX but the next camera I get will not be DX and I just then use my D5000 as my second camera. But that's a long time down the road, for now I have no problem with the DX sensor but would LOVE the 24-70.
I've got the Nikkor 18-105 (kit lens); Tokina 11-16mm; Nikkor 80-400 mm zoom. And tomorrow FedEx is bringing the lens I'm most excited about: the Nikkor 105 mm macro lens! That's pretty much my wish list right there, though I suspect I'll discover some other lenses I'd like.
I have 105mm VR, its very good if you like Macro but the 55mm AF Macro is also sharp and cheaper but a bit rare. I also got Tokina 11-16 which is good for landscape. And my walk around lens is 18-200mm VR. I got few more lenses but these are my favorites. I drool over D700, 70-200mm f/2.8 VR, 24-70mm and 135 DC

Tested it out at a camera show last year... instant love!
