Newbie Question - I uploaded the wrong rotation

February 28th, 2011
Hi all,

For my inaugural post, I've done something a bit silly. I uploaded today's photo in the wrong rotation. I've now fixed the exif data and uploaded the correct rotation, but I'm not sure how to update the photo that's currently posted. Is there a way to write over an existing photo? I don't want to assign it to some random date in the past to get it out of the way, which seems to be the only option. I only have free membership at this stage.

Cheers,

ysabet.

Go to edit and check the box at the bottom to delete it, then reupload at the correct orientation.

It's worth trying 'edit with Picnik' if you have it in the free version. That should overwrite the picture in the existing space without deleting the entire message.

Arthur: That option is greyed out, unfortunately.

Angela: Thanks! That worked. I can't believe I missed that - I suck at the internet today, it seems.

@ysabet just so you know, unless they come back to visit this thread, the people you are responding to won't get notice of your response unless you hit the "reply" link next to their names - it then shows up in the reply box with an "@" in front of it. You can do a long string of them too.

@ysabet To delete a picture you posted ..go to it and hit the edit button ..then the square comes up when you first posted the picture..on the buttom you can x where it says delete..the picture will disappear after a few seconds and you haven't lost the date and now you can upload the fixed up picture again.
