@joshphoto Of course it's not wrong to photograph nudes. Some people might find it objectionable if you post photos to 365 with clearly visible genitals, though. I'm just sayin'.
I don't find it wrong, in the name of art, but there have been points brought up about people not being comfortable with it. Especially because of the younger members we have here on the site. I think this is an excellent topic for Ross to mull over (if it hasn't been addressed by him already). @scrivna
@joshphoto Depends really, I don't think it's morally objectionable as long as you're not doing it through a window while up a tree...
One thing is the line between something artistic and tasteful and something pornographic, though that line has little to do with how much someone is wearing and a lot more to do with body language and focus, as in the focus of the image, not the focus of the lens...
Oh, I thought you meant on 365. If you just mean in general, I absolutely think it's okay. Some beautiful nudes have been done by others, and many are very well known, like Helmut Newton and Arno minkkinen...not to mention bajillions of paintings since the beginning of art that depict nudes. The human form should be celebrated, in my opinion.
Oh, okay, I'm following this thread a little slowly. :) I'm not sure if it's restricted, I've never tried to do it. Perhaps there is something mentioned in the rules of the site?
@joshphoto I would say have fun and enjoy a nice photo session with her but I would tread carefully with what you post here. There are younger members on the site and this is a very public forum (I know my boss checks out my photos occasionally) so discretion is probably best. Just my .02. =)
My profile picture is a nude self portrait but being that this is such an open site I edited it so that it would not be offensive.
I save my nude pictures for sites which are created for explicit photos. That way I do not have to worry about offending anyone or having a child come across my photo.
NOTHING wrong with TAKING a photo a someone nude.. Just like there is NOTHING wrong with TAKING a photo if you are fully clothed,. shouldnt you ask the person you are taking the photo of , if they want you clothed or not!!
@joshphoto sure i do. but is it appropriate for *this* site? if there was a way to post those kind of photos and have some kind of block so that only people over 18 could see, then i'd say go ahead. but there isn't. it's much safer not to post genitalia here. in my opinion.
