My husband bought me a Nikon D3100.
I have been using just a simple Sony Camera.
Today I got all this equipment in the mail and I am shocked.
I dont know how well he researched the camera before he bought it.
Does anyone have and use this camera?
Any advice?
Oh wow, what a great gift! I don't have one, but I know I was a little overwhelmed with my dslr when I got it. But, my excitement for it overshadowed the nervousness, and I just learned it little by little.
Learning it is something I will definitely have to do.
I will also be doing it little by little.
I felt there was a lot I still needed to learn with the other camera.
He said it was a Christmas-Valentines-Birthday-Homecoming-Support/miss you present haha. I feel so special.
Haha I'm really surprised. He said to wait to open packages until he can Skype me.
I pulled the stuff out of the box one by one and then he said yeah I know whats in it. I said who is it for? HAHA
I definitely don't think I deserve a new camera and all the other goodies he bought to go with it. d
@rrlewis wow congrats, rachel! a) for getting the camera and b) for having a really sweet husband. :D i don't have the D3100, but i do have the D3000, which is a lot of fun to use and not as overwhelming as other DSLRs. the upgrades, i believe are the capability to shoot HD video (which really really passes like a pro when you focus manually) and live view shooting (like a regular digital camera where you can see the live image on the screen instead of the tiny viewfinder. :D
