Not from there- but my family and another family spent 2 weeks in Kahana back in 2006. We had a great time. We had a nice view of Molokai. We did the Road to Hana, road horses down the volcano, zipped lined, took a catamaran out to a cove to go snorkeling..our sons were introduced to scuba diving and now they all are licensed, visited the blow holes north of Kahana and of course spent time at the beaches, and flew over to Pearl Harbor for the day. Your sunrise reminded me of all the sunsets- we made it a point to see it each night. The only one we missed was when we went to Pearl Harbor and we were in the airport waiting to board for our flight back. My husband and I renewed our vows that year for our 20th anniversary since we were there. You are lucky to live in such a beautiful part of our country.

Here is a picture of a sunrise over Mt. Haleakala. I don't have any other pictures of Maui on my album yet. I should be doing Maui sceneries pretty soon (when the weather permit me to take picture). Its been raining for 2 days now in Kahului (where I live) but I don't know if other towns of Maui is raining.
@lbaker I'm glad you guys had fun. You guys are always welcome to come back again. I'm sure Maui will give that "Aloha" welcome. Next time your family comes back you guys should go hiking and go camp inside the crater of Haleakala. They have cabins and its really nice inside. I went backpack camping inside twice and I had fun.
@tesia Hope ya didnt mind me throwing your name out there! :-/ I just like following you, some of my favorites were when you did those alice in wonder land ones!
